Robert “Ricky” Lucas was born on
September 2, 1960, to the late Robert and Annie
Lue Lucas. At an early age, he joined St. John
Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership
of Reverend Rufus Miles. He attended Screven
County public school system. Ricky worked as a
logger for over 30 years until his health failed.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Robert
and Annie Lue Lucas; four sisters, Jaquita Lucas, Benita Kent, Nadine
Baker, and Selenthia “Lynn” Small; and one brother, Ray Lucas.
His survivors include: his wife, Pearlease Lucas of Statesboro, GA;
two daughters, Stacy (Jamar) Dunnum, and Sabrina Lucas, both of
Statesboro, GA; one son, Ricky Jamaine (Shanette) Lucas of Sylvania,
GA; three granddaughters, Janiya, Madison, and Jacei; four grandsons,
Christian, Jayden, Noah, and Jacobi; two brothers, Ronnie Lucas
of Sylvania, GA, and Corey M. Brown of Savannah, GA; one sister,
Brenda Pollen of Savannah, GA; Five sisters in law: Laura Nelson
and Rosa Marie Lexie of Newington, GA, Annie Ruth (Isaac) Kemp
of Sylvania, GA, Sadie Jackson of Oliver, GA and Adrienne Brown
of Savannah, GA; Two brothers in law: John “Bubba” Roberson, of
Savannah , GA and Carl C. Roberson of Statesboro, GA; Special Aunt
(raised like a sister) Felecia Lucas Brown of Ft Lauderdale, Florida;
and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other
relatives and friends.
