Omar Lamont Gadsden

Omar was born on February 28, 1983, in Brooklyn, NY. His mother, Pamela Gadsden preceded him in death when he was only 7 years old. He was raised by his maternal grandmother, Doretha Jackson who also preceded him in death. While she was living, he was an excellent caregiver of his grandmother. In his youth, he attended First Corinthian Baptist Church. He completed his education in the Chatham County Public School System.

Immediately after High School he acquired his first job at Wendy’s on Abercorn Street, where he worked for several years. His current job was at the Double Tree Hotel where he worked for more than 17 years, until the day of his unfortunate passing.

Omar was a family-oriented, loving, and kind soul. He loved his family and cared very deeply for his friends and co-workers. He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memories, stepfather, Marion Gadsden (Charleston, SC), His sister Shawn Y. Sheppard (Savannah, Ga), Uncle, Dennis L. White Sr. (Savannah, Ga) Aunt Rosalind G and Uncle Harvey J. Tucker, (Savannah, Ga), Three nieces: Alleya Sheppard, Tiffany Sheppard and LaKeisha Sheppard all of Savannah, Ga, One nephew: Sharief Sheppard, six great-nieces, three great-nephews, a host of cousins, friends, and co-workers.
