Obituary Juanita Kea Brown, was born on July 6, 1944,
in Rocky Ford, Georgia, peacefully departed this life
on March 23, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of
Marion Kea, Sr., and Mary Lou Kea. A faithful member
of Horse Creek United Methodist Church from a young
age, Juanita found solace and community in her faith.
She was known for her passion for cooking and her
skillful touch with flowers, talents she generously shared
with those around her. On January 26, 2001, Juanita
was joined into holy matrimony with Pearmon James
Brown, becoming a loving mother to the Brown family.
She was a dedicated wife of twenty-three years and a
pillar of strength for her six devoted children: Dennis
(Elaine) Kea, Curtis (Angel) Kea, Arretha (Alfred)
Evans, Sylvester (Wanda) Brown, James (Cynthia)
Brown, and Donald (Nicole) Brown.
Juanita was preceded in death by one daughter, Marie
Kea, and one brother, Tommy Kea.
Juanita will be deeply missed by: her six sisters, Mary
Alice Kea, Aretha Kea, Irene Kea, and Helen Kea
Sampson, all of Sylvania, GA, Leila Smith of Ridgeland
of SC, and Mildred (Hugh) Watts of Atlanta, GA; and
brothers, Marion Kea, Jr., (Ernestine) of Augusta, GA,
and Rufus Kea of Sylvania, GA. She leaves behind a legacy
of love and cherished memories, fondly remembered by:
her special daughter-in-law, Tiffany Robinson, special
granddaughter Kendra (Brandon) Tremble, special
grandson Steven Kea, and special friends, Ms. Susan
Ragains and Ms. Linda Roberts. Juanita’s expansive
family includes forty-two grandchildren; twelve great-
grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and loved
ones, all of whom will carry her spirit in their hearts.
