Essie Herrington

Miss Essie Herrington was born on April 29, 1947 to the late Aaron Herrington Sr and Julie Ann Herrington near Hiltonia, Georgia. She departed this life peacefully at Au Health Hospital on Sunday, May 15 2022. She went to be with Our Heavenly Father.

Essie was educated in Screven County Public Schools. After she graduated, she moved to New Jersey and began a career at Patterson Shade Co. She was employed for 35 years until her health began to fail. She was remembered as a humble, hardworking, dedicated and kind employee by all who knew her.

Essie Leaves to cherish her memories; her beloved sister Juanita Herrington, this sister has been through it all with her beloved sister Essie Herrington alongside Sister Geraldine Herrington. She also leaves sister Gloria Oliver (Johnny), Nomia Gibbons, Bennie Oliver (Alvin), Carrie Smith, and Brothers Benjamin Herrington (Lousie), two sisters  proceeded in death, Connie Williams and Lessie Frazier, and her brother Aaron Herrington Jr. She leaves to cherish three children, Lisa Lassiter (Travis), Leonard Herrington and Darrin Herrington (Shawn), twelve Grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives 0vb.
