The Life of Mr. Anthony Jones
Mr. Anthony Jones, 54, was born April 3, 1968, to the late George Raymond
Jones, Sr., and Beatrice Reed Jones in Sylvania, Georgia.
He completed his education at Bayshore High School in Bayshore, New
York. He moved to Sylvania, Georgia, in 1987 to further his education at
Augusta Technical College, where he obtained his degree in Automotive
Mechanics. After completing his education, he worked alongside his father
and brothers in the family company, Jones Vault Company. He worked in
the business for many years until his health declined.
At an early age, Anthony attended First Baptist Church in Brentwood.
Anthony enjoyed and occupied most of his time with transporting and
fixing cars. His deepest passion was being a devoted father to his three
children.
On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, he transitioned into eternal rest at his home
under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. The gates are open now where he
will join his mother, father, brothers, Larry Jones and Shawn T. Jones, and
all beloved family members who preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his three children, daughter, Jessica
Johnson (JaQuan), and two sons, Larry Anthony Jones and Brandon Avery
Jones (Shatavia) of Statesboro, GA; he also played a special role in the lives of
Markivus Trim and Arnisha Harris of Statesboro, GA; six brothers, George
Raymond Jones, Jr., Carl E. Jones, and Reginald Jones, all of Sylvania, GA,
Darren Jones of Freeport, NY, Jared Jones of Atlanta, GA, and Justin Jones
of Pooler, GA; Three Step-Sisters: Megeda Edwards, Lashay E. Adams, and
Yasmin E. Pray, all of Statesboro, GA; Three aunts, Mary Strowbridge of
Augusta, GA, Connie Natson of Sylvania, GA, and Demetress Nixson of
Savannah, GA; two uncles, Barney Jones of Rochester, NY, and Elvis Reed
of Brooklyn, New York; seven grandchildren, Averyannah Jones,
Tristan Jones, Kameron Jones, Brandon Jr., Kaybree Jones, Ja’than Johnson,
and Tahirah Jones, all of Statesboro, GA; his children’s mother whom he
cherished, Oliva King; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and
friends.
